Miley is up for ‘Best New Artist” at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards. She will also be part of a very talented group, hosting the Video Music Awards later on this year. Dixie Chicks began largely in Bluegrass and released their first album Thanks Heavens for Dale Evans, which won them local success. However their major success would come five years latter with the group reformed consisting of Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire, and Emily Robison and the song Wide Open Spaces. The Dixie Chicks proved their right to stardom with such follow up successes as albums such as Fly with songs Cowboy Take me Away and Without You. However

In 2002, Isaac Slade and Joe King, two former school friends, met up again in a local music store.
